I see some replacing former Lifestyle Fitness...what vibe do they have? Are they more like LA Fitness or more like former Lifestyle?

I remember Crunch Gym hitting the Boston scene going back some years. I don't live close to Boston but did visit the gym a couple of times and they used to be the sponsored gym at Self Magazine's workout in the park that used to come to Boston Common. At the time, they offered workouts, use of equipment, and techniques not seen at your average gym so they were, IMHO, exciting because they were ahead of the pack (though, maybe more run of the mill in bigger cities such as NY and LA).

I'd check out the classes and descriptions and the type of equipment they offer to see how they compare to others in the area.
