Ya, I noticed that yesterday. What gives?

Luckily for us, we don't use much gasoline, but still.

I moved down in November from Southeastern PA. I was down here on my exploratory trips in September so I got a taste of the heat and humidity, but clearly not the worst of it. I'll see that this summer.

I love the weather so far. I don't miss the cold. I couldn't care less if I ever see snow again.

I live and work on the water's edge.......there has been many years ( especially of late )where the water temps have been 89-92 degrees in July, August, and September.....

It has also been in the marine forecast for these times as well......bay news 9, ect...measured at Clearwater Beach......

Also, the water temp readings on the GPS/chartplotter on my boat have also verified this....

I know many boaters, fisherman, and divers that would also agree.....it is a topic of discussion because the water temps being that high have an effect on fishing, diving, ect...

Also........I never said that the "AVERAGE" water temps are that high.....averages include day and night temps and they don't explain if it is measured on an incoming tide or outgoing tide......if you don't know the difference- than obviously you are just pulling information off of the internet without having any PRACTICAL, PERSONAL KNOWLAGE of the subject matter.....

"Experience" and "average" are 2 different words......

BOTTOM LINE.........the Gulf beaches and surrounding waters EXPERIENCE water temps of 90+ degrees ROUTINELY during the summer- I live and work on the water's edge and have witnessed it countless times with my own eyes......I don't care what you're "data" says......I know what I know- and, if you were to talk to my friends, customers, and other people who spend considerable amounts of time on the water- they would tell you the exact same thing.

Where exactly did they measure that? by the rocks? at night? 4 miles from the shore? cause every time we go to the beaches in the summer the water feels like a bath tub...

Exactly........dude doesn't know what he's talking about.

Like I said.......I could take you out on my boat through most of the summer and PHYSICALLY SHOW YOU 90+ degree water temps without even trying.....

On an outgoing tide, in the afternoon, inside the barrier islands right near the beach....I have recorded water temps in excess of 95 degrees many times.....

I mean....every hurricane season they talk about the Gulf water temps being 90+ degrees and how that will effect any storms that enter or form in the Gulf.......

It is common knowlage.....

You said, "Gulf beaches experience water temps in the 90+ degree range from mid-summer to pretty much the end of hurricane season" which is complete nonsense.

If they were in this range for much of the time you mentioned the average would be 90+ degrees in those months, not 80-86 degrees.

The daytime and nighttime temperatures in the gulf do not fluctuate wildly between day and night as you seem to be claiming.

If you would rather use the conversations of you and your friends rather than actual data then go right ahead. That does not change the true data.

Or just take a waterproof thermometer and put it in the water and take a picture! hahahahahahaha
Feels like everyone peed in the water...hahahahahahaha (sorry, I hate it when its THAT warm)!

Its hard to get an educated opinion from being in Hernando County, and not frequent beaches often! I don't remember Google bathing in the golf at any point.
