Hello, I am considering a move to the Tampa area. I'm wondering if this is a good place for single young professionals in their early 30s? I'm not a bar hopper, but I'm not a retiree yet either. I'm wanting access to the beach and other single young professionals.

Hello and welcome! I would suggest really reading through the many great threads here on what Tampa Bay has to offer. My move is not until next year and I came here wanting to know everything there is to know but after spending alot of time just pouring through all these threads, I now have a really good feel for the area.

You didn't say what profession you're in. From what I've seen on here, some professions are more difficult finding a job than others. So I would suggest that if you do move without a job, make sure you have plenty of savings. That's why my move is not for another year.

As far as your age and this being a good area, if you're a person who likes the outdoors, sunshine and beaches, I think you've come to the right place! Seems like there are all age groups so I wouldn't be worried about not finding your niche.

Good luck!

So most likely I'll be in the education field--either as an administrator or educational technology specialist. I don't want to teach anymore. I am currently working on a masters degree which will put me in the technology/administration direction.
