I am relocating from Idaho to the Tampa area with arrival the first week of April. I would like to find a short term solution to my housing needs allowing me the opportunity to aquaint myself with the area before selecting long term arrangements.
I am open to housesitting for a couple of months. Perhaps there is someone with a Mothers apartment, or self-contained pool house, an apartment above the garage, etc. I live on a meager yet comfortable income and desire something simple.
Thank you in advance for any help or suggestions.

Groovydude, I would check Craigslist. And the local paper. Best wishes on your move!

Thanks Girlsmom2. I wish I would have thunk of that. Already posted and received a response from Craigslist. Classified in local paper was mediocre (for my needs.) 500 Groovy Points to you for the suggestions

Former Idahoan here (Pocatello - ISU). Be prepared for a major change in climate - as you probably already know.

Thanks BucFan. Idaho Falls dude here. I spent five years in the Phoenix area so I'm familiar with warm temperatures. But as they say in the desert.....it's a dry heat LOL.

Holy Buckets of craziness Batman. Did not think it would be this hard to find a short term place. YIKES. Suppose I should invest in a tent and spend a few weeks at the beach LOL.

College kids like to sublet their apartments for the summer term while they leave the area. Not sure if you can hold off a move until May, but that would be when they'd be available.
