All your areas are within time frame to Airport. If you are still searching, recommend a couple other nice Communities:

Live Oak (New Tampa)
Panther Trace (Riverview)
Concord Station/Connerton (Land O Lakes)
I would not count out Grand Hampton

We live in Grand Hampton with our toddler and really like it. There is a under three playgroup at the clubhouse on Wednesdays. Of your list Fishhawk has the best schools, but a very, very long commute to the airport.

Thank you! We have not picked a place yet. What about Palm Bay in Westchase? MiraBay in appollo? I saw you mention Waterset online it looked like Mirabay maybe more young professionals. Just wondering your thoughts on that.

Obviously people would be partial to where they live...........wait until you hear about Palm Harbor, LOL.

But given what you put out, I would go with Westchase. You take vetrans and you are in TIA in no time. You have excellent schools. Plus it is centrally located for access to Tampa and pinellas county, in case you care about the beaches .

Thanks for all advice. I am having a tough time getting help on the phone with realtors to set up appointments when we arrive. I am guessing because they don't want to deal with rentals. Not sure if its allowed but can someone give suggestions on maybe a realtor that would be willing to show us properties in the Westchase area?

Try the online search engines like realtor dot com. You are not finding many in westchase because that is one of the most desirable place to live. Rentals and houses for sale, for that matter, are gone the moment they are in the market. Also, looks like now that houses are selling fast, those who were forced to be landlord can unload, further lowering rental inventory. Try to reach out someone who does this for a living and they probably hold one as soon as they show up in market.

Re: palm harbor, well you can search. It is a nice place to live. I was just kidding about one of our posters extreme enthusiasm about that area .

There is no Palm Bay in Westchase. Be careful about the real estate listings that say "Westchase". Many listings say Westchase to capitalize on the name but they are actually referring to the general area around Westchase. Westchase refers to a specific development. If you want to know the names of the areas actually "IN" Westchase, you should go to their website at Westchase Community Association.

The high schools that serve the Westchase area aren't great. Fishhawk seems to have to the better over all schools(k-12).
Alonso and Steinbrener aren't exactly the top high schools in the area.

However Fishhawk is way out there.

Fishhawk is also in the middle of nowhere. It's great if you hate people... Not so good if you like getting out.
