New and future developments around Big Bend and I-75 near Waterset (Apollo Beach: landscaping, live in)

I live around 301 and Big Bend, and my wife and myself are trying to figure out where we want to move in the next year or two. We are considering staying in the area, and specifically looking at Waterset, however there are a few lingering questions that I keep asking, but cannot seem to find any answers.

I am guessing I am not alone on some of these questions, and I would especially like to hear from folks that live in Waterset, to see what they think.

• Is there any recent concrete news on SouthShore Commons, the retail area slated for the SW corner of I-75 and Big Bend? There has been a lot of speculation for the past decade, but nothing tangible.
• If SouthShore Commons does indeed happen, has there been any information shared on traffic improvements for Big Bend? Currently the traffic can be pretty bad, and that is without a giant mall. As Waterset continues to grow, the problem will just get worse. The reported I-75 overpass running East/West from Apollo Beach to 301 will help, but I don't think it will make a big enough dent in traffic on Big Bend. And while that overpass will help, I am not sure how I would feel about it running right through Waterset if I was a resident there.
• Are there any plans to spruce up Big Bend, especially on the West side of I-75? I find the North side of Big Bend (West-bound) to be unsightly around East Bay and the county (DOT?) building. A beautification project to add some landscaping to the side of the road would go a long way to cleaning up that stretch. Additionally, some decent landscaping in the median would help distract you from the stacks as you drive West on Big Bend.
• There is not much West of Waterset on Big Bend. Does anyone have any information on future projects that might be slated for that area, and the 41/Big Bend intersection?
