Are there organizations around that offer teeth cleaning clinics similar to vaccination clinics where, for example, a Saturday is devoted to doggy dentals at a reduced cost. Our vet wants $380 (plus extractions) to clean the teeth of my 8 year old doxie. That's quite a bit more than we used to pay out of state. Any other vets/clinics you'd recommend to make this affordable (since we have 2 dogs to get done)? Thanks in advance.

That sounds high to me.
As far as I know there is no affordable dental cleaning around the area.

It's amazing the differences in what Vet's charge around the area, some want to make their whole month's rent when they get a patient , others tend to be reasonable.

Here's one that I recommend:

Woodlands animal Hospital -Dr. Odland (1 owner business) 813 855 8888

Good Luck!

I paid about that for my cat - on the recommendation of my vet. Guess IV sedation is used or possibly anesthesia. Didn't realize cats could cost so much for health maintenance when I adopted her. Yearly shots, exam, anti-flea/tick meds.
