Hello,

Just a friendly reminder to all my friends in Tampa.
While driving on a highway, please keep to the right unless you are passing.
I request that special effort be made on the Howard Frankland Bridge.

Additionally, on January 1, 2013, Fla Stat. §316.239(7), Fla. Stat. legalized headlight flashing to indicate you want to pass, so please move right.

hahahahah

IF Only people would bother to READ the driving manual. Its ALL in there......they also have it in PDF format so you can read while driving.......(being sarcastic)....

FHP would make so much money if they pulled over all the morons who take naps in the passing lane, they wouldn't know what to do with it!

Ahhh, the joys of living in the South. This happens everywhere South of Tennessee. I like the idea, but it will never happen. For some reason, the slower pace of South brings this out in all of our brothers and sisters.

When I was in my early 20's to early 30's this really used to get to me. Now I think to myself, is that extra minute or two worth getting all worked up over and my answer is No.

Gulfer, I'm getting closer to 40 and it STILL bothers me, I can only wish I had your approach. Of course living here in ATL, that extra min or two is invaluable most days LOL.

I chuckeld when I read the post, this is seriously one of my biggest pet peeves. I doubt it's 'legal' to double flash here in GA, since pretty much breathing is illegal....but I do it anyway.

The crazy things is how they look at you when you have to end up passing them from the right, like what did I do???

IDIOTS!!!

LOL! I have been around Atlanta enough to know that if you are in the fast lane driving the speed limit, you are lucky if you don't get run over!!

It took me many years to finally relax at these drivers that 'slow' the fast lane. It's made my traveling around much better I have to tell you that.

To get there I had to do some math. Let's use this example: I travel 15 miles to go to work.

If I can go 60 miles per hour (MPH) I can get there in 15 minutes
If I can go 70 miles per hour (MPH) I can get there in 12 minutes 51 seconds
If I can go 50 miles per hour (MPH) I can get there in 18 minutes
If I can go 40 miles per hour (MPH) I can get there in 22 minutes 30 seconds

Once I took a look at this (by the time I hit my late 30's) I started looking at it differently. Still took me another 5 years after that accept it. And yes, I still get upset from time to time! HA!!

I'll also throw this in:
All the cars have this stick that comes out the left side of the steering column that operate a turn signal. Press down for left turn and lift up for right turn. It signals your intent to turn up ahead or if you are going to cut into my lane so I can slow down behind you and not have to slam on the brake. I know it's optional but it's a nice courtesy for drivers behind you. Thanks.

Geez I thought drivers in TX was bad.

Lol, I like the math equation. But I have one for ya that I've still yet to figure out...

First 10 minutes: 50 mph
Next 5 minutes: 35 mph
Next 45 to 60 minutes: 20 mph, break, 30 mph, break, stop, go, stop, g...STOP...possible accident/curiosity/statie on side of road/never-know variable, then final crawl to destination
