Ok, I have a predicament. We were all set to move to Cali in June but the hubby came home today with another plan (love the Army) a possible position in Pinellas Park. Now, the scramble begins of where we should be looking for places to live. Looking in the $1900 a month range for rent and a 30 to 45 min commute would not be intolerable. We have two boys so schools are important. I will be staying home daily with the lil one so green space and family activities are prime on our list for possible locations. I thank you in advance for any assistance.

This is the website of one of the main Investment Companies that have been buying homes all over the Tampa area.

Will give you some ideas once people start answering your post.

I would seriously consider looking on the other side of the Bay as long as the Soldier doesn't mind the commute across the bridge. The areas of Parrish, and even towards Ruskin allows for a pretty smooth commute. He could also be going against a lot of traffic if you look up towards Safety and Palm Harbor.

On the East side of the Bay you can get a beautiful home with a pool for that price range.

As in work in Pinellas Park? or McDill? cause those two are like apples and oranges.

I wouldn't "live" in Pinellas Park ...that's St. Pete's cracktown IMO...IF working at McDill then you can look through Brandon, South Tampa, even Westchase which you as a SAHM will like very much...but Riverview, Ruskin etc are far, and not that pretty iMO.

Work in Pinellas Park, you could live in St. Pete, Oldsmar,Clearwater,Largo also. All those places have nice places and some have areas which are not so nice.

Good Luck!
