Myers is doing well for being a young talent. How long do the Rays have him under contract?

One of the reasons they waited to bring him up this year was there's a semi-complicated formula on when he's eligible for arbitration. I think 4-5 seasons until they have to start shelling out the big bucks and thinking trade.

Rays seem to have a system of farming these guys up, bring them to the big leagues for awhile then either trade or let them hit free agency. Now David Price might be the next to depart.

They decided to stick with Longoria (huge 10-yr contract signed this year, I think) and gave Moore a big contract. They're in no position to sign Price for what he can get on the market.

I hope not....I know it's going to happen but I like Price-he struggled a little this season but now is finding his groove.

I've also seen him around town (St. Pete) and seems like a nice guy. Actually stood next to him in line at a food joint a few weeks ago-no one seemed to know it was him (of course I did ). So I whispered "hey great game last night, you pitched a hell of a game." He whispered back "Thanks a lot, I appreciate it" then proceeded to give me his goofy smile.

I love the Rays and I hope they can keep this up

this gave me a big smile, very cool!

Congrats again to the Rays for a fine game played. Here's hoping they stay healthy and keep the momentum going. No looking back now, they've come this far!

Yep! I'm a a fan but after meeting two players and seeing how down to earth and normal they seem to be-well it makes me root for them more.

GO RAYS!
