I am not subsidizing a dime for this guy's imprisonment. As I am sure you know, FL does not have state income tax, and I am becoming a ski/mtn bike/fly fishing "bum" in the Wasatch Mountains.

I have been working for 30 years to subsidize my recent retirement at 52. The choice to save a big bag of money, instead of spend it, was not always easy. However, now I can enjoy a fun, healthy retirement based on the decisions I made. It's all about the decisions a person makes in their life. Each decision has advantages and disadvantages, and all you have to decide is the path and effort desired. What decision will you make today to improve your life?

You are!...State income tax has nothing to do with how we pay for prisons in FL.

The only people getting rich are the private prisons and the judges/lawyers who preside over these...

Talk about hypocrisy within the judicial system.

You commit a $50K fraud and you get 26 years but if you steal $50 Million you only get 54 months.

I have no sympathy for well to do, educated people commmiting crimes. NONE. You had ample ways to learn how to make money and get on with life,,, your greed can sink you to the bottom of the ocean. I keep saying there is lots of crime behind the gated communities, but hard to get people to accept.

He might have done someone else or he is used as an example...either way I don't care, he did the crime he should pay the time.

I don't care about uneducated or educated people who commit a crime...I don't discriminate about education and crime....

Crime is crime but intent is as important and weighs on any judge or jury,,, so if you are hungry and steal some bread - not considered as severe as a worker cooking the books. But we are very lenient on a person who is in the limelight,,, as a movie star-or big wig in the community. No those who are in a great position in life but who are just plain greedy and evil,,, are worse.
