Is it just me, or has the rainy season already started? Seems like we went almost directly from a rather chilly March right into summer, with rain and humidity higher than usual for this time of year. It appears we're skipping the dry spring season, which is OK with me, I'm not a fan of brush fires. Even as I type this, we're getting lightning, thunder and mild downpours in South Hillsborough county, and it's not the first time this season. Maybe it's just in this part of the county?

I hate the hot, dry season so I'm fine with the recent deluge(s). I wish the rain was more evenly dispersed through the year so we don't have monsoon summers and arizona winters.

No, but we need this rain badly. All of our ponds went dry.

Not a chance. Just a upper level cold core low in the northwest gulf. At least it's giving us some lift and a little bit of rain.

Yep....for now. We are smack dab in the middle of the dry season and as soon as someone said we would not see any rain and we are in a world of hurt come June, all heck broke loose with the rain. Lots and lots of rain in North Pinellas.

So outta curiosity, on a day like today where it has been pouring down rain, does it get flooded very easily or does it take days of constant downpours there?
