I bout a house South of Gandy a few years ago. The neighborhoods are not ideal, but the house was relatively cheap and I love being so close to everything. At some point I am planning on moving to a better neighborhood, but I'm considering keeping the house as a rental/investment. There seem to be new homes popping up as well as new home communities so I'm thinking the area could be turning around. Does anyone have a sense for whether this area has potential?

It's loaded with potential. Sadly, I don't foresee said potential being realized any time soon.

Still though, there will always be a market for homes in such a convenient location.
