FYI, Hawks Landing may be minority only, which your child may qualify for, I don't know.

THe reason I say that, is I work for FD and go there a few times a month, usually for fire alarms or illnesses. When it first opened, the complex was about 50% white. That lasted about year. The complex has been open for about 5 years. I can't remember the last time I seen a Caucasian person there. I have however seen just about every other nationality, and/or race living there. Blacks, Asians, Indians, middle eastern, Latin. Definitely a melting pot!

And they always bring a melting pot of crime.

A good friend of mine lived there during the infamous race riot. I went to find the video on YouTube, but it's apparently been taken down. As far as finding an apartment south of Kennedy, it's a waste of time and money. There's plenty of decent apartments on Himes, and one right off of Dale Mabry.
