Depends on the time of year and the situation. If I'm surfing/SUP in the summer on a hot sunny day , I would like it around 76-80 (very refreshing). If I'm not as active and just floating around, I would like it about 82-86.When the water temps. get to the upper 80's to low 90's not so refreshing. I usually won't put a wetsuit on until it gets below 70.

I don't want it to be warm at all. The whole point of a pool to me is to COOL off.

It's pretty unlikely that the water will be warmer than the air, so its still refreshing in some regard, but we all have peronal preferences.

As long as the water temp is below your body temperature, it will be enough to cool you down.

Just add some potatoes, carrots and serve in a few hours with cold beer.
