We recently switched from BrightHouse to Verizon FIOS for our internet. While I never had anything really bad to say about BH and decided to go with Verizon based on incredible pricing and service just as good, if not better.......I do now have something to say.

First, I think cutting the FIOS line when it is not their line pretty much tells a whole lot about them.

Secondly......and this is a word of warning for those considering ending their service with BH......they charged me a $51 change of service fee to end the service with them. It is not a balance due fee, but an ADDITIONAL fee. They never mentioned that, but now it is on my final bill.

All I can say now, given these two issues, is nice way to ensure I never go back to BH again!

what's your Verizon bill after their bait 'n switch/introductory offer period is complete? Is it cheaper or about the same as Brighthouse?

$84.99 for Verizon FIOS 50mbps Internet and Digital phone combined guaranteed for 2 years.

Previous, it was $72.18 for phone with Verizon and $72 for BH 30mbps internet, so $144.18 total and no price guarantees.

I did not want the BH phone service, as it would not work well in my application.....so it was never an option.

I don't get how Verizon voip works for you but no bh, at any rate no arguments Verizon can offer a better product at a better price. It's worth noting that bright house b has local coverage, it's active in the community, supports local high school sports it's a bigger employer in the community, you would think that is worth something.

BH needs to up their service and create competition for V, right now they are just another company. Offer 50mbps for $45 and more People would switch back! Offer selective channels and don't force me to pay for 500 channels when I only watch 10, if they want people to return they need to offer something V won't!

I've never been happier with a provider than I am with Verizon...and I have had a lot (Time Warner, Comcast, Charter, Atlantic, etc). For the price and what you get, it is really a steal.

Switched to Verizon Fios recently. The internet is so much faster and cheaper. 50/25 for $50/month instead of 10/1 from BHN.

I'm happy with Brighthouse. No problems whatsoever. Price is right. I'll stick w/ them. No reason to change provider.

Yep, price is unbelievably good. Service is great now and I hope it continues that way.
