BTW, I had read about the Korean Taco truck. Is it still around?
I know there are 3 korean taco trucks in orlando, I never seen one here in any of the rallies. I haven't been to all of them. We have a few trucks here, the "not your ordinary food truck" burgers are good, Dochos monte cristo like cuban is awesome but you need a nap after it, everyone tells me how michelle faedos cubans are great i don;t like them too much myself. Like I said we have a few pretty good trucks not the best probably but pretty good.

The Korean taco was born in Los Angeles in a truck named Kogi. There is nothing like that in Tampa. The Korean taco is now considered one of the most delicious items of food by world reknown chefs and food writers. People travel from miles and miles just to have Korean tacos in California. It's a big business that generates hundreds of jobs and gobs of tax revenue, but I guess "it's just a taco for Pete's sake."

Kudos to everyone who thinks Tampa Bay Mex is perfectly fine. This means you never have to suffer any disappointment.

I sincerely believe there is a difference between Mexican food from out west and Mexican food in Florida. It's far better and more authentic tasting out west. I am not sure why, perhaps the ingredients are fresher.

But to deny there's a difference in taste is like saying a pie from Florida is the same as a pie from New York, just because there are a lot of New Yorkers in Florida. There's a clear difference in respect to that as well.

Certain parts of the nation are known for certain foods. Florida is not known for its Mexican food. It is known for its Caribbean food and Cracker Cuisine. I would not expect Tampa or Florida to have good Mexican food options, and neither should anyone else. I know California has great sushi and Mexican. The Midwest has great beef. New England has great seafood. My understanding is that Austin has excellent Mexican food.

It doesn't have to be nationally renowned to be a good food option, that is all I am saying

Other research produced this tantalizing tidbit from a year ago:

located "slightly west of Dale Mabry on Hillsborough across from the Guitar Center. The name on the truck is "Korean BBQ Taco Box 2"

That truck originated in Orlando not Tampa and has now moved operations to DC.

Isn't that a blanket statement?
