My husband would like to buy a convenience store in Palm Harbor, Safety Harbor, Oldsmar, Dunedin area. Anyone owns a convenience store that can shine some light on this type of business in FL. We are from Massachusetts. He owns a convenience store here. Also do you know any convenience store for sale? or a real estate agent who specializes in Convenience stores? thank you

There are several big chains established here... Circle K, Race Track, Hess Express, 7-11, etc. Plus, two big out-of-state companies are starting to build locations in this area - Wawa and Thorntons. There is alot of competition...

I know people who bought one and got burned. You better study the area you want to buy very well especially regarding future projects that are on tap that may affect the location you are buying. The one I mentioned got burned because a project they weren't aware at the time of transaction changed a traffic pattern and they end up holding the bag.

Best way to look for these businesses would be a Business broker. There are several in the area who would have what is for sale, if you want an established business.
