I was just happy that it was on TV... Comcast has exclusive rights to Astros games in Houston and only like 30% of the population here has the ability to have Comcast, which.. it's not offered in my area, although, the game was actually on ESPN so I was able to watch it.

I really like the Astros, but my heart will always belong with the Rays.

I even got the tattoo back in 2006..

One thing that has helped in my transition to moving to Tampa has been the neighborhood where I'm living. We moved to Old Seminole Heights. It is a historic neighborhood of 1920's bungalows, and our neighbors are terrific. They have been so friendly and welcoming. I am so glad we chose this area of Tampa.

I came here alone. I was fortunate enough to meet a girl pretty soon after I moved down, and I'm a pretty big sports fan, so I've met some friends by watching college/NFL football on Sundays, and hanging out at Fergs pre/post Rays games.

That's nice to hear...and you're the second person to say you met someone after moving. What's Fergs like?

I just checked out the website. Looks like a great place to go for some games. What I think is cool too are the menus down there. It's a bar so it' s not like you're going to expect 4 or 5 star food (though there is a dive bar up my way that cooked fresh the best swordfish I've had to date) but the appetizers, etc. have so many seafood choices (LOVE seafood) whereas up here, I can name what's on an appetizer list blindfolded, lol.

How are the schools in Old Seminole Heights? My husband and I recently made our own lists of preferred cities and Tampa was on both. I'm trying to familiarize myself with the neighborhoods before we take a vacation down there in December and Old Seminole was on my short-list of places to look at.

I would like to buy a 1920-30's house and restore it, but I also have a daughter and she'll be in middle school by the time we want to move and houses here (Durham, NC) that are fixer uppers, are not in neighborhoods you'd want to send your kid to school.
