I'm looking around for apts and found some that are the right price in the Carrollwood area....specifically by Armenia and Busch blvd. What kind of reputation does the area have? Safe?

Shoot. I knew it was too good to be true. If I stay more west...as far out as 589, how tough will it be to get to USF?

There is no easy way to get to USF unless you live in New Tampa off Bruce B Downs.

The nicest part of Carrollwood is east of Dale Mabry, around Lake Carroll I guess most people would call it Old Carrollwood.

USF is not in a good place to live, most go north of Skippers and maybe just around the corner from the school,,, apts, homes what are you seeking?

Definitely looking for apts. I'm aware that USF itself isn't a great place to live. I'd love to be in south Tampa but everything I've seen is a little out of my price range. I've heard decent things about Carrollwood; I'm not looking to go NE of USF. I'm late 20's and single so staying closer to the action is a little important to me. Drove from around the airport to USF today and it was EASY. Not sure if that's normal or not but was totally doable.

There are a couple pretty nice apartment complexes near Busch and Himes. I just wouldn't go farther than that.

Near Dale Mabry n Fletcher is pretty accessible to everything- 20 min to college.
