Haha! I grew up in Philly. When Wawa was first opening and advertising on TV, just hearing the name made my skin crawl. I was only a kid and couldn't stand just hearing the name. Every commercial would end with them saying "Wawa, it means fast flying Goose".
I picture a bunch of dudes sitting around a table trying to think of a name for their new venture. One guy says how about Wawa? Everybody jumps up and says " that's it, what an awesome name"

Actually, they do have a lot of the same products (in different packaging), but each store has different products as well. ALDI only has a tiny selection of wine, but what they have is GREAT bang for the buck. I like both stores as well.
