I feel sorry for anyone in Westport with a mortgage as they are gonna be paying over 6K a year just for Flood Ins on a house worth less than $20k. Then tack on the cost on home owners Ins at another 2.5 to 3k a year and these homes will be worth less than 5k.

This new law won't effect everyone, just the people in zones that can flood easy. Waterfront owners will get hit the hardest.
How much are you asking?

LoL, no... what's the cheapest one, I'm just curious what a Pasco home is going for from someone that said they can't unload them, while also mentioning that their own home is worth only $20k..

I would never touch another house west of US19 in Pasco, even for $10k as they will be worth less than that soon.

I guess the avg price is around 120k, all east of Little road.

Okay, I was going to say that I might be interested in a $20k or less house that's close to the coast...

My uncle just sold his two bedroom on Moog Rd for 50K...it took him 3yrs to sell because for 2&1/2 yrs he was asking over 100k...IMO it's a total gut job...he had a ok view of brackish water in back but the traffic on Moog was noisy as heck...you would have to pay me 50k to live there...on second thought after walking in on a robbery on Overland Dr...there isn't enough $ you could pay me to live there...

Yikes. Make me glad we ruled out Trinity when we were looking, as it seems close to what some of you say is not so good. Plus I know the Anclote (sp?) river that winds around up in that general area flooded pretty bad last year.
