Being tomorrow is a holiday and we dont have to get up early we want to take the opportunity to get out and explore the area tonight. We just moved to Land O Lakes from NC last week and have been unpacking mostly. Does anyone have any suggestions that would be good for my husband myself and our 16yo? I was thinking of going down to Bayshore Blvd and watch the sunset as I have heard its beautiful but are there shops and restaurants to walk to in the area? Also, any suggestions on where to watch fireworks tomorrow would be great. Thanks

Not sure why you would go to Bayshore Blvd to watch the sunset as you won't be able to see anything. The water is east of Bayshore.

Yes, Channelside has fireworks. However, everytime I've gone it has a been a cluster to get out of once the show is over. I actually prefer St. Pete's fireworks to Channelside. There is more going on afterwards and it is more managable to get out of. The pier is closed now though, so that might make the area slightly more congested.

OP, try Ballast Point Park if you are still wanting to explore the Bayshore area. It offers a unique and neat view of downtown Tampa and the east side of the Bay.

Normally I enjoy the rain, but I agree - hope it is relatively dry tomorrow.
