Was able to mow my foot high grass today and it didn't even feel that hot, but man was the pool cold! Felt great.

High pressure is building in and making the air sink. Sinking air heats up due to friction and makes our temps go up and won't allow much lift to get our T- storms going. A few lucky SOB's got some rain just south of me today.

Does this typically go along with a day of slightly cooler temps? Because mowing was actually bearable today.

Raining for the third time today here, nothing long-lived though, but good downpours.

With a southeast wind we don't have the insane dewpoints and humind air like we do with that nasty hell like reverse west wind flow coming off of 86 degree gulf temps.

I wonder how things are going in the paradise-perfect watershed over at Lake Tarpon.

Today had the same dew point level as we have been having. Mid 70's. You may have just noticed more of a breeze, which makes it feel cooler on the skin. That is one of the great advantages of living near the coast, rather than further inland.....when you can get a sea-breeze. The southeasterly breeze we have had has been very strong, so it gives the same effect on the skin as a western sea-breeze....even though the dew points have been identical.
