Florida was built with northerners money.
Without people coming to and moving to Florida I feel it would be just a piece of land with beaches.
Take out all that northerners money and Florida would be in deep trouble.
Florida relies on out of state money coming in.
I know many people who have moved to Florida and NOT ONE OF THEM came to Florida for any pot of gold.
They came from the beach, things to do, the weather and many others things Florida has to offer. No pot of gold at all.
Last I checked this is America and people are FREE to move around, since when does people like you own a state?
You can thank a northerner for your job and your well being because I can almost assure you it is tied to money coming from those damn northerner at some point.
Get used to it, many of us northerners are coming to Florida whether you like it or not and believe me as a Florida loving person I wont ruin YOUR state, but will be spending a ton of money to keep you and others who feel your way a job.
Thank a northerner! Without us Florida would be in very deep trouble.

If you join the military, you get what you get. You could be assigned to bases in BFE. At least Tampa is a larger city with nice weather, beaches, etc.

I didn't mind transplants so much at first but when the jobs started to dissapear and many natives like myself were then put out of work (only to have transplants come down and tell us how stupid or uneducated we were while they, with their bachelors degrees were taking $10/hr. call center jobs) I kinda lost my love for transplants and ended up having to be one myself.
The whole argument of Northern money making Florida what it is pretty much is crap, If Northerners had stayed out of Florida and people didn't flock here for vacations, The state would have made sweetheart deals with many companies and there would actually be industry and decent paying jobs in the state... Kinda like Texas..

I grew up in Miami,Fl.....lived there for the 1st 25 years of my life. I hated Miami...so angry/expensive/no room to think......I had to get out of that town. I moved up to Ohio and I got great jobs..currently have a great job and at times I miss south Florida...but I would not want to live there again. My mom has a house in Islamorada and I love going to that house. I love visiting the keys.....But Miami...I hate. So I can't hate the whole state....just the place I grew up in that I have so many bad memories....Good luck to all of you.
