This is exactly what I encounter more often than not except I just laugh than get angry .

Imagine: You’re driving a car, and the driver ahead of you is behaving erratically. He can’t stay in a lane. He puts on his left turn signal but doesn’t turn. He slows to a near stop for no apparent reason, then surges forward. Finally, he makes a right turn from the left lane. You mutter to yourself, “This city has the worst [expletive] drivers

My biggest issue- is people see you coming and still jump in the lane at a slow speed,,, forcing you to slam on your breaks or hit them,,,and never adjust to the traffic speed ... and people turning right unto a road or parking lot or whatever, are you sure you want to turn in here??,,, maybe yes no?? Ok already. TURN! I still think every 5 or 10 yrs should take your drivers test again see all your bad habits.

I guess I'll get to experience this in a couple days when I visit! I drive in ATL daily, I avoid the interstate and go back roads-and I see a bad wreck on said roads at least 3 times a week....so I may not be too scerrrred

Didn't the Insurance Institute put the whole state in the #4 spot just a few years ago? I would say from my personal experience that the metro areas in Florida have the worst drivers I've ever seen anywhere. I've seen worse traffic in other areas, but the drivers here are just horrible.

And then again the whole state is a hodge pod mix of the influx of people who came down and retired and their kids followed them down. Yet the state name gets the rap.

Funny. I was driving home from work today and couldn't help but notice all the cars changing lanes 10ft from the toll gate and almost hitting the cones to switch from one toll lane to another.

So wait, doesn't this reflect negatively on all of us who live here? I mean, we all drive here, so we must be part of the bad drivers? This thread is ludicrous. You've never seen worse drivers in Tampa but on the other hand when I visited DC I had never seen worse drivers either. 6 hrs stuck on I-95 due to a fatal accident. So I guess, they (DC drivers) must have moved to Tampa since then?

Tampa has some catching up to do to get up to speed with Atlanta. I watched a car move from far left across 6 lanes to make the exit at the last possible second. there was only a safe distance between the cars that were cut off. Tampa needs six lanes to catch up.
