I heard all the weather men say it will rain Saturday and after our Tornado warning Friday night I exepcted to hunker down near 2 PM... BUT as Florida weather is always unpredictable, it was the perfect beach day and not a drop fell untill my family of 10 left at 9 PM. Thank you great Sky! (God) I post it because folks who come from other places should know, here anything goes with weather, out of no where a storms forms and 50% rain could mean squat. Sun lotion and umbreall at all times.

We were on the back side of a cold core low and had sinking air in place. Sinking air is a killer for T-storms.

Glad you enjoyed!

According to WFLA and Fox13, a huge dry air/dust mass has moved all the way over to Florida and even to Texas, reducing our chances of rain in the Tampa Bay area to extremely low for this time of year. Sunsets are supposed to be great with the dust particles in the atmosphere according to WFLA, so we may head to the beach at sunset one of these nights.

I already gave you the facts about this in the other thread. There was no dust over us Sat nor is there today. Sky would have been flat milky white- brown if that kind of dust was over us.

air sinks on the east side of cold core lows, since we were on the east side of a cold core low Sat, and today, means air sinks and heats up due to friction and puts a cap on t- storm growth.

It's going to be hot again today, but at least the air is dry.

Great day to lay on the beach or float in the pool!
