What are some of the better jobs in the area? NOT talking $10/hr, or food/hotel jobs.
What industries are available? My wife has her own business at home that does well, but we still need income from me and benefits. Wanting to move there to be closer to family and for the weather.
I have an extensive medical billing background but having a hard time getting calls so wanting to see what other areas to pursue.

Thanks

It's really just a very broad question...if you have extensive experience in medical billing, I would stick with office environment type jobs. A lot of office jobs start around $12 an hour though; AR, AP, purchasing. If you have a ton of experience you may be able to land a specialist or supervisor role, bumping the pay to probably $16-$18 an hour. Truth be told, and this is NOT a put-down (my job is of a similar capacity) it's just not a field you'll find "great" pay in until you hit manager or controller status, because the skill and education level isn't all that high.

The good news is that if that type of salary is acceptable, there are a lot of big healthcare companies here that offer really decent benefits. That sometimes offsets the lower salary, especially if you have a spouse that is self-employed or working for a small company (again, my own experience lol )
