Hello -

Currently my husband and I live in Tampa Palms. Our lease is up in February, so we are deciding if we want to stay there or relocate. We have a 1/1 right now. Ideally we would love a 2/2 and it seems the prices are a bit better in Brandon than it is in Tampa Palms. We would like to pay around $950 at most and we would need a place that has washer/dryer hookups since we have our own washer/dryer. Would prefer not to sell it. Plus we need a place that allows dogs that are medium size (ours is 50lbs) but that doesn't seem to be an issue. Almost every complex I find online seem to allow dogs.

Hamilton Bay seems to be nice complex as well as Tuscany Villas. I just would like some opinion on apartments in that area in the price range I mentioned. Apartment ratings websites are okay, but just like any other website, people complain more than praise and you don't know the full story.

I work in downtown and my husband works right off I-75, so the Brandon area seems to be a perfect midway point for that.

Thanks in advance for any suggestion

For that kind of rent budget, i'd look into renting a house to be quite honest. Brandon homes are actually on par with those bigger apartments.

IE:

874 Burlwood St, Brandon, FL 33511 - Zillow
708 Mason St, Brandon, FL 33511 - Zillow

Thanks for the info. I'm just so used to Tampa and what I pay now for an apartment would be in an area I wouldn't want to live in for a house! All the houses I find for rent here start around $1300! Our lease is up in February, so I doubt those houses will be available then, but it's something I'll look into.

Yeah thats why we chose brandon over tampa when we moved here. Our 1300 rent alottment would only get us a 1300-1500 sq foot house but in brandon we got a 3b2b 2k sq foot house. There are smaller, cheaper options out there so its worth atleast looking into when the time comes around
