Tampa PD is only for the actual city of Tampa - within the city limits. Everyone else calls the Hillsborough county sheriff except little towns like Temple Terrace that have their own police. I found this confusing when I first moved here because I thought a mailing address that said "Tampa" meant I was, you know, in Tampa. Silly me. Brandon doesn't have it's own police department yet? That's crazy.

I found that odd too. I've lived here 3.5 years and never had to call the police ever, so that's why i was so confused. Tried googling brandon PD and never found anything! LOL Now i know why
