I am transferring to Tampa in a couple of months. My office location is on Boy Scout Blvd. close to the airport. How bad is the traffic if I lived across the Bay in North St. Pete just off of 275? MapQuest says it’s only 11 miles but I’ve heard the traffic is really bad.

I work there too and traffic won't be too bad at all. The only problem will be crossing the Howard Frankland bridge during rush hour as it can be pretty congested.

I would probably do the causeway in the morning that would be 20-30 min you should hit no traffic, then the Franklan in the afternoon. The problem is the traffic is always heavy coming into tampa on the Franklan, but on the causeway you migh have to go north a bit but i will be clear in the morning, the causeway is a mess in the afternoon from all the people going into SH.
