I'm new to this forum and I posted this earlier, but I think I may have posted it in the wrong place......

My husband and I have been looking to purchase a home in Pinellas County, but after the sink hole scares we decided to do a little bit of research. I pulled up some "sink hole" maps and it looks like Pinellas County is one of the worst with Oldsmar and South Tampa being less prone to them. Is anyone familiar with the sink hole maps? Does anyone have any insight to the areas in Tampa that are least likely to have sink hole issues? I realize all of Florida is subject to sink holes but it seems some areas are worse than others. Thanks all!

Oldsmar and East Lake have no sinkhole issues.

I can't find it now, but recently there were several postings in this forum with info about sinkholes and their known distributions. I will place it here when I find it.

Thanks Annie. I believe East Lake is North of Oldsmar, is that right? Thanks for your response - I really appreciate it.

I'll continue to look for that sinkhole information.
