It was raining pretty heavy yesterday around 7PM and there were hazard lights as far as the eye could see on 275. Literally rows of cars with their hazard lights on LOL.

How is that even remotely safe? Florida must have the most idiots per capita of any other state.

Maybe so, but it is ILLEGAL in Florida.

When I used to see one or two cars do it I would be like "whatever" but now when you have hundreds of cars driving with their flashers on simultaneously, it creates very dangerous road conditions and illusions. I couldn't tell if people where stopping, changing lanes, turning or if I was approaching a hazard blinking yellow interestion...

The problem is everyone does it now so its impossible to enforce. Can people really be this idiotic? Is this real life?!

Cars having their hazard lights on impacts your driving abilities to the point you have no idea whats going on if you see hazard lights.?
Dosent sound to me like those with their hazard lights on is the danger on the road..

Why do you care if they slow down? They must be thinking safety comes first, unlike you. If you feel like cruising in the rain, then make sure you have all weather tires, otherwise you'll end up in the bay and become bait for the sharks. You must feel very miserable to bad mouth every little thing. Find something substantial to do. And please don't offend people.

If rain comes down so hard that I have trouble seeing the car in front of me I turn on my hazards because I assume the car behind me is having trouble seeing me as well. I think these people are just trying to get home safely.

Can we just move this thread to one of the other ten threads about driving in the rain with your blinkers on.

A lot of things are ILLEGAL in Florida - but do you start of thread on them as well? Texting while driving, speeding, running through red lights, no stopping completely for stop signs.

Adapt. Of all the things done illegally, I think using hazard lights in a heavy rain storm is probably the least dangerous of any of the things I listed above.
