Of course no one can say for sure without counting each one but I could assume that more valuable waterfront property in west Pasco is going to have a higher percentage of larger homes overall than the rest of the county.
13 LOL, nope.
I think most know the small rundown hoods with 2bedroom homes out weight the bigger nicer homes west of US19 and just east of US19.

And if you think the homes I posted are fugly mcmansions then I really don't take your opinion on homes seriously. How is a home fugly anyway? Fat and ugly? Really?
Fat wasn't the word I was thinking of.

So this is fugly to you?

I think you are also mistaken on what a McMansion is.

Sure looks nice, but think of the cost to insure now and think what it could be if this flood rate hike is not stopped.

I just renewed our flood insurance for $390/year. That is with a $1,000 deductible, $80,000 contents replacement and $200,000 house replacement. I could and probably should greatly reduce those amounts as that much damage would most likely not happen based on flooding.....and then I can drop our flood insurance cost to probably under $300/year.

Oh, and home prices are rising nicely in our neighborhood.

Biggert Waters has flood rates rising with the first renewal after 10-1-2013 or later.

I spoke with our insurance agent this morning and she told me as it stands now, increases will be 20% per year until the full rate is reached. For us, it means several thousand more per year eventually.

According to her, people are holding out hope that Congress will intervene, since this has the potential to devastate not only residential property owners, but countless businesses will go under as well.
