I bought this morning LU, Petit Ecolier! ...Walmart has some LU products and overall they sell fast so you don't have to worry about it being old.

Sometimes Big Lots has some European food but usually you have to be lucky and fast or it will be gone, but I hardly ever go there...

I don't eat chocolate (or any other sugar) very often, so when I do I usually splurge on the high quality stuff.

I haven't eaten a Hershey bar in probably 5 years.

Hershey's taste like paper; gross. I cannot eat that chocolate if you paid me.

I usually buy Lindt, you know those huge bars? but I liked Milka too...too bad is not more accessible, as I won't travel that far for it.

It is a matter of popularity; items less popular, less advertised will sit on shelves longer, and if the climate is not controlled well, they get the bloom...

Now, have you seen any Milka commercials on Tv here? to create some buzz? I did not. When we visited Germany Milka commercials on Tv were very popular.

If there is not enough buzz created for a product to create an audience only a few people will know about it, and the masses will continue eating chocolate chip cookies! (The anti desert as I call them) No offense, if I had never, ever had the opportunity to travel outside Miami, I too would probably thought of them as "great"! But I can no longer do that.

Ritter Sport is the other chocolate that has a biscuit on it...also excellent chocolate...Target brought them first per what I saw as we never shop at specialty stores because they're not conveniently located to us. I like chocolate, but not when it's over 15 miles away! LOL Not that much...hahaha
I have the problem you described with Lindt many-many times and most often when I purchased it at their factory stores (in Brandon mall before they closed that location couple years back and recently at Outlet mall in Ellenton).
My local Publix sells Ritter Sport in ethnic food department. Different kinds.
Go to Aldi and see how many different kinds of chocolate they sell!
I really liked Picnic chocolate bar when I was a kid. I don't remember when I tried it last time.
