We are a family with two kids aged 7 and 14 moving to Tampa. We would love to meet other Italian families who live in the area. My husbands English is not so good and would love to keep up with the Italian culture while there. We will be coming over at Christmas to get to know the area better. My parents habve a home in New Tampa. Please let me know if anyone has suggestions on this. Grazie mille.

The Italian Club of Tampa is a huge community and has many events geared towards members of any ages. They have events for children, numerous clubs and social groups, a parade Krewe for fun-loving adults, and many family-oriented activities at their building on 7th Avenue.

Here's their website: The Italian Club of Tampa

On Friday evenings they open the cantina to the public and serve food and drinks.

Thanks. I already checked their website and will definitely stop by when in Tampa. I just wasn't sure if I could find many Italian expats there as I am really looking to find Italians who have recently moved to the US and speak Italian at home: I guess meet people who are kind of in the same situation with starting over in the US.
