We are planning a move to Largo area in the spring. What are the mobile home parks in the area like? we have a 13 yr old daughter and need someplace safe for kids. Do people down there make fun of kids from "trailer parks"? we have somewhat of a problem where we live now. we want a place we can buy outright so we can enjoy life instead of working all the time just to stay ahead. any help would be appreciated, thanks

Most of the MH parks are 55+, especially the resident-owned, which tend to be cleaner and safer. I don't know enough about your situation to suggest alternatives, so I'll try to just give you information. I don't believe a MH park is a good place to raise kids, an all ages park will always have a drug element no matter how hard management tries to screen them out. There is no particular stigma here about MH parks, they are very common. If you have the credit/resources to buy a single family home, there are decent areas in Largo where you can still buy cheap, and actually have a lower payment than lot rent. If you are set on a MH, King's Manor on Belcher always has MH available for a couple/few thousand to buy, they also have rent to owns. There is a monthly lot rent, it's not like you buy the MH and live free after that. There are one or two others that are all ages, however I can't recall the names right offhand, but they are even more run down. Good luck.
