Just to be sure, try getting a job before you get here, or have a very big safety net.
Pshhh who needs a job when you have good looks and charisma

But ya I will for sure have a job lined up before actually moving.

I do agree with this. My mom works for a company that deals with small businesses and politics and apparently Tampa had one of the highest unemployment rates, last year I believe it was, for the state (or so according to her. She tends to keep up with that stuff). I know there are some graphic design companies but not sure if they are hiring.

Water here, not really. Beach wise. If you want a really good beach to go to, Siesta Key is the place-rated #1 in the USA a few times. I would say it's about an hour drive from South Tampa.

I heard there are some nice beaches in St. Pete which is closer but I haven't been. Clearwater beach is gross IMO

Maybe also look into St. Pete?

Orlando is fun and I like it but I loathe the tourist traffic mixed with the local traffic. It makes it super hellacious.

What part of Ohio? I have family all around Springfield, Dayton and a few other surrounding areas
Not sure if you have heard of Oberlin (about 45 minutes south west of cleve) but I live like 10 minutes south of it.

But I can see why you dont like the tourist traffic. I didn't like it much either and I was one lol.

Don't we also have a Chip-n-Dale's here too? Or something equivalent?

Ya St. Pete is a option. You haven't seen a gross beach until you have been swimming in parts or lake Erie. Good old pollution and PCBs, but the perch is still good tasting.

If beaches and water will be high on your priorities be aware the beaches are all on St Petersburg's Gulf Coast , a fair commute from Tampa if you plan on relaxing evenings on the beach after work.

Yeah, South Tampa is where you want to be, just get nice financial planning course on how to save from a $9/hour seasonal life guard job and enjoy life.

Where to even begin with this.....

Okay, first the Tampa Bay Metro unemployment rate is 7% which is lower than Miami/Ft Lauderdale and below the national average of 7.3%.

Secondly the best beaches are pretty well-documented as those in Pinellas County largely, particularly "gross" Clearwater Beach.
