and we are down 0-3 in the 4th inning already...

It is tough watching us have a lead knowing it will **** away soon...it is REALLY a stretch of the imagination to feel we will come from behind and win a game.

This team is near lifeless...and I never thought I'd say that about a team coached by Joe Maddon.

As I say every year...as long as they are no more than 7 back at the all-star break..they are in it.

Now for that to happen:

Molina HAS to be released. The only reason he is still around, is that he is DP's pet catcher. Has to be the worst player on ANY roster.

Jake needs to be the closer. If only short term. Balfour needs to get straight.

Escobar has more errors already than last year.....Not good! Unfortunately...Hak-Ju Lee is no where near ready and probably never will be. I guess Toronto had it right.

Longo, Myers and Looney have to start hitting for power.

Must say that even though I'm fairweather, I'd never boo a player unless he did something off the field that embarrassed the city, team or was against the law (Aqib Talib, for instance). Never understood fans who boo players on the field when they're working hard for wins and feel worse than anyone when they lose.

Rays Notes: Balfour critical of booing fans

I agree. I don't know about other towns/teams but Boston is like that and it really ticks me off. To me, it shows no class. Even if the player is horrible, do you really need to make him feel worse?

I can agree with you to an extent, but I think Balfour is the last one who should be talking about having some class and showing respect in the game. The guy is a loose cannon on the mound and not in a good dominating way...he let's his attitude get the best of him often.

Balfour has been pretty terrible this year as our closer...way to shaky and inconsistent to actually CLOSE a game out. Fans are having to deal with the poor hitting, streak of losses, main rotation difficulties and misses, and a poor closer is the straw on the camel's back to most I suppose...especially when you are lined up in a situation to do something you haven't been doing lately: winning.

Just got home to catch the 9th and see the Rays winan apparent 3 1/2 hour 0-0 sleeper with a walk-off single. Jennings stole 2nd easy to get in scoring position for figuerora. Seeing them celebrate on the field its like they won a division game. Made me smile...nice to see.

As far a the Sox...i got nothin. Boy do they stink right now

When wins are few and far between.....you celebrate a little harder.

Rays' so-called ace pitcher gives up 5 in the first......thought he'd come out strong after Cobb showed the way...oh well.
