what the hell is with all the construction on 19 and 50? what are they building

It really is a pain in the rear, but supposedly they are halfway finished at this point according to an article I read a few weeks ago. I can't avoid it because I live about a mile from the 19/50 intersection.

Well, they are putting in gas lines and new storm sewers as part of the project. I suspet that accounts for a sizable chunk of the work.

I recently read that there is going to be more retail going in on 50 west of Mariner.
The growth in this area has been exponential.

The Sun coast parkway really opened up the area to many who can now commute to Tampa a lot easier than the old 19 rte. all the increased retail is a natural consequence of this easy accessibility.
Keep your eyes open for some good restaurants popping up ,particularly NY style Pizza joints.
