The majority are great parents who have good normal kids, they just dont make as much noise as the bad ones.

Agreed! I can't tell you the number of times I had to deal with teens smoking pot near our property in Spring Hill, smashing up mailboxes, and stealing delivered boxes off our doorstep. We even had one of the parents of these kids come to our doorway to return a box of stolen items his kids had taken that he found in his garage. He looked so bedraggled. I remember him saying he'd lost control of his boys years ago, and he no longer knew what to do with them. I should have reported his kids to the cops then, but I just didn't have the heart. Now I wish I would have. Maybe they were the ones responsible for going around and smashing up people's vehicles.

The sad thing is, the people who are the targets of these crimes are GOOD people. My friend and tennant is a single mom of 3 amazing boys, one of whom is severely disabled. My heart broke for her when she sent me the photos of her van window smashed to pieces. A few days later, the punk kids returned and slashed all of her tires. WHY??? It just doesn't make any sense! My old neighborhood where all of this is happening has many older, retired people … I feel horrible that they must deal with so many rude, disrespectful, out-of-control kids. The crappy thing is, so many of them are trapped there because they can't afford to move away.

My husband and I volunteered quite a bit at our old church's youth group, and after a year of dealing with disrespectiful, mouthy kids and their uninvolved parents, we pulled our own kids out of there and quit volunteering. Some people need NOT have children. Too bad forced sterilzation is illegal.
