Considering I am on a 3 - 5 year plan that involves selling my house.... this is good news.

Come on down ya'll!
more polite?? more like totally elusive, that's why locally everybody keeps to themselves and there is no sence of community - give me the obnoxious New Yorker, least I know he is alive!

Yep.....

And once people "get over" the more "in your face" type of communication style of most folks from the Northeast.....

You know exactly where you stand with them.

It doesn't bother me one bit.....

I prefer people like that.

I don't mind people who are direct or "in-your-face", I come from a Latin culture that is like that. However I don't like rude people, and there is a difference. But rude people can be found all over, they aren't limited to one geographical area.

Some of the nicest, honest and down to earth people I ever met are from the NE. I have found mid westerners to be that way too. It doesnt matter where you come from, it matters who you are.

Please introduce me to those people!

I hope I can be considered in that small minority. But coming from up north, I find that people who live in the south are much more friendly. If I've run into anyone from the south standoffish, I think it's more due to them having doubts of how I will treat them.

just to follow-up.....got in 18 holes of golf today on a course directly bordering Hillsborough Bay and had a good ol' time. Clubhouse pro said there were only 4 other players on the course.

Cold weather today?

Not really....

Lol, true they're everywhere. But even though I like being back in FL, the ppl in NC are definitely nicer. Sometimes there's no reason for so many ppl to be so damn rude and self-centered. And when it comes to driving, omg. People here dont give a crap about anyone but themselves.

But I'm fine with being back in FL. But I'd like to see a lot of things change. My biggest complaint is the people.
