Hey guys,

I am currently in Miami, and am thinking of making a move to tampa area.. I am just sick of the congestion, I am a minority here etc. Looking for something a little more laid back and tampa area I do enjoy. However my issue is I am looking into either a condo (downtown ) area where I will be close to all the nightlife, or a house about 20 minutes away from that area. Can someone recommend me some zip codes, or towns that I can look on that are safe. Nightlife is important to me since I am single and love meeting women as well, I hear YBOR is good but last time I was there it seemed like a bunch of young people.. Anything for nightlife for people that are middle to upper 20s?

Thanks for any help!

What type of nightlife do you enjoy? Pubs/dive bar type of environment, upscale bars, or clubs?

You are 25 and would be considered "young" in terms of someone able to enjoy nightlife...since you have only been drinking age for 4 years. However, I do understand your desires since a lot of people turn a corner around age 25/26 in terms of the nightlife they are looking for.

I would think Ybor would be more for the weekend run down to the City not the weekly entertainment. I would look more over by the International Mall. The houses you would get within 20 minutes of Ybor or the Mall would probably not be the ones you would raise a family in. Open the distance some or stick to a Condo. Just my two cents.

Ok yeah, guess i will stick to a condo for now. Some people say I will be bored in Tampa compared to Miami in nightlife, but I realize I never go to South Beach (too much $ and all tourists).. For nightlife in South Florida, I do enjoy the Hard rock, Las Olas (ft Lauderdale) and Brickell in terms of nightlife would tampa be similar to those areas?

DT St Pete, and the Soho area are a bit older a pretty wide range I would say.

you have the rest of your life to be "old". 25 isn't anywhere close to being old.
