:Looking for info on this area. What is the crime like? Neighborhood scout listed it as a very safe area, research shows high school ratings. What is the general atmosphere like as far as housing, etc? Is it close to any large hospitals?

I think it is safe. I do drive over there frequently. I believe Trinity has opened a medical facility, which I admit haven't seen it how good or bad it is. Also St. Joseph has new opening in Van Dyke, I believe south of Odessa.
I personally wouldn't live there not because of crime but it is just out there away from civilization

Odessa is a nice area with houses of different prices and sizes. It is kind of a rural area , but mostly nice.
