My husband and I currently have Verizon, but we are thinking of switching to T-mobile. We can have a cheaper monthly bill (about $30-$40) and have more data (unlimited, compared to 4gb shared) which would be great! Our current plan is actually not up until August, but apparently T-Mobile will pay early termination fees as long as you surrender your phone and purchase one from them. I hate my phone w/ a passion, and honestly I don't know how long longer I can stand to use it. (this thread would be way too long to list all the issues I have with it - it's a Samsung Droid Charge)

Of course when I put in my zip code, it says coverage is Excellent. Just would like to hear from people who might actually have it how they coverage truly is. We are located in Wesley Chapel.

Thanks in advance!

The only 30 unlimited plan is prepaid and has 100 minutes of talk, postpaid you are probably looking at 50~60 They only do the etf for postpaid plans, At any rate t mobile has really good coverage in Tampa, I am not sure about the outer suburbs, in south Tampa I get 20 to 30 mbps on lte and about 12mbps on hspda+

Good to hear that it good coverage. This is the plan I was looking at though.

I've had T-Mobile for 2+ years. I have a no contract plan with unlimited talk and text with 500mb of 4G data. They don't really have a limit on data, it's 4G that's limited to 500mb. If you go over (which I have never), they say the speed is slower. Calling and data over WiFi made it appealing for my needs.

If you travel, you may run into problems. In the Tennessee mountain area, I never get a signal over 2G.

I think all telecoms make most of their money on products. I still can't understand why a smartphone can cost upwards of $700.

If you get "throttled" the speed is unbearably slow. It's slower than dial-up.

I travel quite a bit and mountain and very rural areas are the only places I've had issues, but this has pretty much been the case with any carrier.

I'm with Metro PCS, which is now owned by T-Mobile. I haven't had any trouble with coverage in Tampa. In Orlando on the other hand...
