Hi everyone,
I am a young single mid-fifties woman with a golden retriever, and looking into getting some advice about the Tampa Bay area.I have been in interior design for the past 25 years and hope to find work in that field in the area, either in a higher end furniture store or with a builder for staging.Does this exist down here. Also I am not a townhome/condo kind of person and I am looking to rent in a quieter town or artsy neighborhood, any advice, to start a active search, and definitely dog friendly.Thank you in advance for some input.

Dog-friendly, funky, arty: Gulfport. And it's surprisingly quiet in the Historic area, but still just a few blocks to all the action.

Go to craigslist.com for Tampa Bay, then narrow search to Gulfport. More will come on market after April when season ends. I see a lot now for under 850, some under 700. Gulfport has a lot of 'casual' rentals....garages that have become 'guest houses,' etc. I'm here now and I see lots of signs starting to pop up now that the high season is ending. Good luck!
