I have found some properties in the seminole heights section of tampa can any one tell me a little bit about the areas? Also which areas have higher rentals and are in need of a demand. I am an out of state investor and would just like general information of the tampa area as to which parts I should avoid all together thanks!

There is a good and no so good area of Seminole Heights. Homes are old and some are very small. Anyone looking to rent/buy is often told to stay west of FL Ave and I 275. Really depends on where the house is located but there are some nice areas. Some are pretty rundown. There are homes that are on the historical list. The one good thing is that it isn't in a flood zone and IIRC not in an evac area for hurricanes. Convenient to downtown and the Westshore district. There is also a hospital nearby.

If it's wood watch out for termites or damage. No big deal but know what you are getting. You will probably need a handyman and lawn care or real good tenants. Can you be more specific on the location?

I am basically just wondering which areas of Tampa should I invest in? I am looking for rents to be around the 700-800 area and would like to avoid the war zone areas. I am looking for SFH that are 3/1's and would like to know if you guys knew in specific which sections of Tampa can generate around 700-800 a month in rent. I know the warzone and bad areas are around 500-600 a month and would like to avoid those areas thanks.
