I would greatly appreciate some recommendations for companies to spread med/large pine bark mulch around my house. I got one for $1,300 and that seems really high for just 2.5 sides of the house, probably averaging 12-15 feet from house to grass.

Thx

Call D & D tree service. They remove trees and make mulch of the smaller trees and sell also wood and they have reasonable prices as far as it comes to tree trimming, removal and placement of trees and from what I have heard their mulch is not expensive either so they maybe able to give you quote. Let us know what the result is and who you will be using since we always love to hear about good and reasonable priced companies.

When you say square yard, are you talking about a 3 foot X 3 foot area? I hope my Math is off. I see a couple places along HWY 41 and HWY 54 that have piles of it sitting there. You would think one pick up load would be enough. I can't see that being more than a couple hundred bucks for delivery. Laying it down, I wouldn't know but your price Prius seems about 2X the most I would pay.

If you have someone that mows your grass, I would ask them before anyone else. I also found several choices near you on Yelp. In my area, we use Williams. They have their contact info on their website. A phone call will hopefully be simple. Sod and Landscaping Supply Tampa, FL - William Nursery & Sod Inc. Good luck and let us know what you decide to do.
