Hi All,

I will be relocating to Tampa soon. I wanted to know how bad the morning and evening commute would be from Willow lake apartments in Lutz, Fl to 3800 Citibank center, tampa, Florida. In the morning I have to travel
mainly on I-75 south and I-75 north in the evenings. Google maps says maximum time in morning rush hour traffic between 7-8.30 am would be 37 minutes? Is this a correct estimate? Please advise. Thank you very much.

40 minutes on good days, 50 minutes on average days, 1:15 on bad days.

I'd guesstimate about a 45 minute drive on most days.

Thanks for the replies. When would be best time to start to avoid traffic? Would 8am or 8.15 am give me a shorter commute? I may need to get to work by 9 or 9.15 am?

Won't make much a diff. But 9 would be a bit better.

8 or a little thereafter is better than earlier unless an accident has happened. You may on some days even consider to take County line road to B.B. Downs and then go to I-75 instead of St Rd 56 to I-75 unless you had a different route in mind. I drive the opposite direction in the morning on St Rd 56 a little earlier but often see a long line of traffic waiting to get onto 75 since many will drive as far as they can and then cut off others to get into the line and that is only causing nuisance, stress and often accidents.

Aside from accidents traffic is going reasonable smoothly and more and more parts of I -75 are done but it took forever to have the small part between the exit for 54 and 56 to be ready and the company that won the bid lost a lot of money by not finishing on time.

I live West of I75 off SR54 and communted to work very close to your City Bank Center. I found out my work building had a gym and showers, so I left early, around 6 am, missed all the horrible I75 traffic.
I now must drive I75 to I 4 almost dally. Expect slow downs to a stop , then stop and go daily from 7am to almost 9 am.
This happens near Fowler and Fletcher exits.
