We had rain all around us, but ended up with only sprinkles. It is amazing to watch the volatility and changeability of the skies. Hoping for more real rains as the days pass. Paul Dellegatto confirmed that mid to late June is when we solidly get into the rainy season. I remember the same thing where we live last year. I was so anxious, but it finally came around the same time. At least this time we had the one week in May with all the storms and rain.

Finally! Now you can be comfortable at home. Not to mention the lower electric bill.

I wonder about that, no matter what the sales charts say. We replaced our 10 SEER with a 15 SEER, both 5 ton for the size of our home and "so far" there has been very little difference in the cost. We are running it at 77/78 during the day, enough to keep moisture from causing any issues inside. 72 degrees at night.

We shall have to see how it goes through the rest of the year. Either way, it has been far cheaper for us to air condition and heat here than air condition and heat in New England.

I would think with mine running non stop from 5pm till 10 pm that a new one running right should make a diff.

I ave 2 full 5 gal buckets of water a day, and near 3 when it's super humid.

You should have a drain on the blower unit that takes the water outside the house.

If you only turn it on from 5-10p, it is going to be hard for the unit to take out all the humidity and then
cool down the air. You really should have it running in the heat of the day to keep the humidity and temp at a reasonable level.

I set my thermostat for 80 in the daytime and 78 at night time. It comes on when too warm and then goes off until next time.
